WACPHD participated in the Q3 National HIV Prevention Technical Working Group (NPTWG) meeting held in Abuja from October 15-17, 2024. The meeting brought together several key stakeholders to strategize improving HIV prevention in Nigeria. The key discussions included;
– Progress on HIV prevention initiatives, including the Adolescent and Young People (AYP) Strategy and the National Condom Program.
– Strategic planning for 2025 to ensure sustainable efforts.
– Insights from learning exchanges in Kenya and Botswana.
– Introduction of Cabotegravir Long-Acting PrEP for HIV prevention.
