WACPHD is well positioned to design and manage comprehensive programs that enhance disease prevention and control. Areas of expertise include HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care and Support; Reproductive and Maternal Health. Our team coordinates and leads participatory assessments to design relevant interventions in rural and urban contexts. In recent years our focus in program implementation has been ‘cutting edge’ interventions which help in addressing needs of the communities that we work with and fill the gaps in existing programs. Some of the identified areas are Key Population groups programs, violence, care for most marginalized PLHIV, health and education needs of adolescent girls in marginalized communities, etc.
